Well here I am on day 3, and I have a brutal head cold. No big deal really, I guess I will just have to take it easy for the next couple of days. Luckily I brought some tylenol cold with me, so self medication is well on its way.
Today was one of the nicest days so far. There was virtually no clouds in the sky and the temp felt like it easily could have been in the 30's. It kind of sucks that this col has chosen my path on the first day of sun, but what can you do? I went to the Coles (Australia's Metro) and got boat loads of Vitamin C and some food so I can eat at the hostel rather than going out. After a sweet pasta and salad dinner, I've decided to do nothing but sit in the lounge area; watch movies on my computer, surf info about Oz and leave another post.
I think I am going to be in Sydney till next Wednesday, and then I will see where I am going to go. Perhaps you can help me. Inspired by Norm, I think I am going to list 2 places that I want to visit next and you can tell me which you think would be more fun. I'll have to do my research and get rid of this cold, but in the next couple of days you can expect to see some sort of post where you can vote on where I should go.
It's awful to think that most of you are waking up to go to work. I hate to rub it in, but I can't help but want to let you know that not only am I not in bed yet, I am sitting next to the pool on the outside deck in a t-shirt and shorts, with the whitest feet in the world.
Have you guys heard that Brisbane has been evacuated. It's so crazy. They are saying it is the worst natural disaster in over 100 years. Hopefully everyone north of me is ok, but the city is shut down and there is no traveling north of Byron as of this morning. So you can expect that I will be heading south in the next couple of weeks.
Well I am beat and it's time to take some tylenol. Enjoy your days...
Peter
